Reforms Commission(ARC) is responsible to
examine the public administration of the country and make recommendations for reform
and reorganization.

What is the ARC Report?
Ans:-
The reports published by the Administrative Reforms Commission(ARC) are called
ARC Reports. Morarji Desai chaired the first ARC reports in 1966 and K.
Hanumanthaiah took the responsibility. The second ARC report was headed by
Veerappa Moily in 2005.
The
Administrative Reforms Commission submitted
15 reports to the Government covering areas like RTI, ethics in governance, local governance,
terrorism, public administration, e-governance, financial management, and so on.
The
2nd ARC report is beneficial for GS-II and GS-IV mains papers only.
